Yep, they broke in, stole my head unit, and also my Xcal2 tuner from the glove box, and also one dollar from my center console....

The head unit i coulda cared less, its more than out dated, but stolen none of the less.
The Xcal is what im pissed over, its not worth $5 to them as its VIN locked. But i used that quite often to diagnose trouble codes..
And well the one dollar shows how desperate they were.

Anyone know of a good alarm system with shock sensors for under about $200?

Well, i lock the doors every night but when i got up this morning the door was wide open. They musta been eyeballin it for quite a while now to do it. Thing is, is that my factory alarm, the remote broke on it last week, so ive been just locking them from the inside. so no alarm went off.

Oh, and im lookin for em regardless, they can count on that ****. But they didnt rip or key anything, everything else was still in tact. Good thing they didnt see my cd case in the back seat. it must have about $500 worth of dvds towards the back from this weekend.

Wow, that sucks. That is the only reason i like living in a small city sometimes. You should get one of those alarms that goes off if someone even bumps it, you can never be too careful.

Yeah, I wouldn't recomend an alarm... because... well... they will give you more trouble in the long run... now i have to spend 75-100 dollars to get it taken off......

That's messed up, man. I've been there (a couple of times). I got an Omega system and it works good as hell...but it's more than you want to spend. Go for the Python--it's a good system. You should check and see if they have an upgrade for the transmitter though. Then the remote will let you know if someone's messing with you car, or if you left a door/trunk open, etc--that's what's on my car. Works up to 1500 feet.

I have a Python on my car to, they had to fix the driver side door twice because it didnt lock, but the alarm still works great. Sucks, sorry to hear that man, I have my 85 coupe broken into too but they broke all my windows...

actually you can get $150 from VMP for a locked xcal2.  they arent hard to get rid of. thats why i keep my tuner inside even though i want it in the car.

oh and the car doesnt come with a factory alarm. it will lock but there is no alarm.

sorry to hear all that man, it really sucks. im always worried about it since i have to park outside all night every night.

Nothing better than having a silent alarm with a vibrating paging remote...

While they think they get off free, you show up with a 9mm and a baseball bat...

shoot them in the knee cap, and batting practice is on !
- However you may substitute the baseball bat if you were a kicker in high school/college or soccer player; then field goal/punting practice is on!

viper/Python ftw

Uh, you know you can't say it wasn't premeditation in court if you tell us all about it.
