Progress on engine swap. *pics*

Ok heres a little backround information..

A month ago, my car spun a bearing. I ordered a new motor thru work (Carman Ford) and swapped it in. Heres some pictures of my parts pile.

Anyway.. I put the motor in, and noticed after I got it running (on the lift) that it leaked oil at a tremendous rate. Spent about 30 minutes trying to diagnose the problem, and turns out the #2 cylinder spark plug tube (the part milled into the head) had a hole in it. It was filling the hole up and running down the back dripping onto the exhaust. I was PISSED. Went thru a day of bull**** and getting approval codes with Ford, and had my new motor ordered. BUT, since I bought the last motor in the country, Ford had to make me another one from scratch. I ordered it last Thursday, and was promised it would be in this comingTuesday. In the meantime, I pulled the new (****ty) motor back out and now the car is just sitting out behind work. I havent been able to drive it in over a month.

The only bright side, is that I am not gettin paid warranty time to install my new new motor. yay for me.. Ok, enough talk...pics..

Nice hope everything works out for ya.
I blew out my trans and it sat for about a month I thought I was gonna lose it not being able to drive my baby for that long, the first thing I done was pull up to the corner and dumped the clutch at about 5K ": )

STILL waiting on my god damned motor to come in.. I was told 2 weeks ago it would be a week. Now its supposed to be comin in this Tuesday...however I have a bad feeling they areBS'n me. I HATE my fuggin parts department

Im just curious to how much the ford dealer spanked you on the new motor, it would of probably been cheaper to buy a forged shortblock from MMR for cheaper.

+1. and with the forged shortblock, u would have been able to mod ur 4.6L a lot more aggresively....

I got my brand new longblock for $3900, and thats with a 75k warranty. Find me an aftermarket, forged long block with that warranty for anywhere near 4gs..please point me in the right direction. I work at a Ford dealership, so I get the discount and whatnot.
