I used to have an '86 FHP/city fire chief car and had to sell it about 7yrs ago.
anyways I'm thinking of making a newer one using aftermarket parts. I'm looking for a close to stock '93 notchback as you're reading this.(the year I graduated)
If you could hand over any info on what EXACTLY they came with I'd appreciate it.

What does FHP stand for? As for the City Fire Chief part our fire chiefs and chief of police cars are just stock cars with light bars and stripes on them. I don't know exactly what you are asking for...elaborate a little and I'll see if I can help you. If it is body pieces I don't think Ford ever did a specific fire or cop car back then. Cities, counties, and states bought stock cars and outfitted them themselves. Let me know and I'll check it out.
FloridaHighwayPatrol. it was handed down to the fire dept. from them. it had blue hoses and stuff but i was jsut wondering if there was a complete list. i think i found a lot of info here. http://www.evooa.org/mssr/mssrart.htm
or here http://www.sspmustang.org/
let me know please. i'm really wanting a '93 notchback.

Yea...the blue silicone hoses are a factory option that very few people know about. They are available on the crown vics still. The new Crowns are the same car as the one your grand-ma drives. Ford gives the option for cop cars of a trunk unit for storage and an optional wiring harness/lighting package these days but that is about it. The options listed on the pages you post are few enough you should be able to copy tham with no problem. Try searching ebay for what you are looking for; there is a lot of info on there from people who work or worked in different fields. Good luck.
MAN I DONT KNOW WHY U WANNA REPLICATE A PHONY FLORIDA H.P. COP CAR unless u r a cop...and if sooo..........seems kinda silly like putting 5.0 badges on a 4banger or cobra bumpers on v6 stangs, so yes dont try to pass it off thats very lame, lame, lame, but if it floats ur boat go for it

when you get it done don't try to pass it off as the real thing. you can tell from the buck tags wether or not it's an ssp.
Let me jump on this for a sec. If you are going to try an replicate a SSP Mustang one thing you should know is try and keep it as stock as possible. Not all SSP's had Blue hoses some SSP's even had a small roll bar inbetween the front and rear seats. Alot of people when talking about an SSP get the impression that it was a well modified from the factory with chips and bigger motors as they were only a 5.0 coupe with a slightly better alternator, 160 mph ceterfied speedo, and the trunk release button was taken out of the glove box and put near the steering wheel. To replicate a SSP by just using a 1993 Coupe well thats going to be easy.
OK first off not all SSP cars came with the same packages and the only way to even know what packages came on the SSP was to decode the DSO tag on the rad core support behind driver head light. Here is a site that will tell you what was offered on the SSP hope it helps http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_SSP_Mustang also if you would like a little more info come check out my 91 SSP I have more info in SSP stangs there. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2429729

Sorry folks but if you want a nice ex cop car, go for the 94-96 9c1 (w/lt1)Caprice. I love my 88 5sp GT to death by my 94 LT1 driven Caprice with only a computer tweak, rest bone stock would eat my 5.0 for supper.

Since it has been 2 years since Blueblood started this thread I don't think he is going to get the word about the Caprice. This is a 5.0 mustang section, so we don't care much about a LT1 and the ugly package it comes in.
