yeah, i posted a thread about that article......12hp for a pulley is hard to believe. if that was the case, i'm sure more members would be raving over them. i read from others that they typically free up about 5hp at best. that article also says that the hi-flow muff only gave like 2hp or something. either the MAC muff they used is crap or they have something against the MAC company and are producing a bad rep. i dont know.
to you have to retune your car if you get the pulley system? i have a evolution tune now..would i have to retune? I also read ads claiming 10-15 hp increases....
I have that particular issue and it gives 10 for cai + tune, 9 for UDP, and 1 for muffer all together 20 hp for boltons. Take it for what its worth.
thats the problem. dont know what its worth.
I wouldnt take it too seriously. Modified mags got31 hp from a gt muffler, western motorsports cai, and a dyno tune on a 4.0. So 11 hpmore with the same types of mods minus the udp. Which one is more accurate? Idk...
Dyno'd ASP's UDPon my stock (at the time) 05 V6, Doug did the pull. We got 4 Hp and 6 lb ft of torque.Nothing to write home about, but the engine seemed to rev faster with the pulley installed.I ran the pulley for about two years until removing it to install an X Charger.

so the mags articles are B.S.? they probably get some sort of incentive from manufacturers to show impressive gains of their products in their so called "tests". what a shame. seems like the best user info you can get is still from forums, regardless of some of the crap floating around.
