Whats the difference between the 2 and the 3?  Do you still use xcal 2 when tuning cars?

I still sell and use the X2 quite a bit more than the X3.

The X3 is basically the same as the X2 in terms of functionality.  It's just SCT's evolution of the product line so they can support more vehicles like the 09s that we'll see in 6-9 months.

Also Justin, When my car is WOT and about to shift to 3rd it shifts too early...instead of it going to redline or close....it shifts at around 4900-5100...is there a way to adjust with the VMP handheld.

With or without a tune it shifts too early?  my tunes adjust shift points slightly, and the tuner allows WOT shift point adjustment in MPH.

With a tune....Which fag would drive around without a VMP 93 tune...even if gas prices are 3.20

lol

Is there a general rule of thumb like every 100 rpm = 1 mph, or something similar?  Or would I have to go WOT and see where its shifting, then adjust it from there?

Thanks!

Best thing to do is go wot and adjust from there.  The relationship of MPH vs rpm (called NV in engineering terms) varies by gear.

I checked it out today...and it shifts at 90 @ 5000 rpm...I know it has more power because it bogs when it shifts...

So its on the 3-4 shift...How do I adjust it Justin?  Do I set it to 94 or 95?

Just raise it up and see how you like it.  Shifts are not an exact science, because they are all based on acceleration rate.
