This discussion has gotten way out of hand. Jugador- get more experience before you talk about other people's cars. IDrive- congrats on your car, but realize... you can't beat every "ricer" out there, even if they are stock. Everyone else- as stated, there is a difference between "rice" and "import." There are rice Mustangs, as I'm sure everyone has seen. Now, everyone chill out

I dont need experience to know that i wouldnt want either of their cars.
Yes, but you cannot say a car "sucks" or is "slow" unless 1) you have/have had something better, or 2) you have a faster car (good deal quicker) or have driven a wide enough range of cars to know what "fast" feels like.
I wish people would settle down and realize that sport compacts aren't always rice. Rice is a non performance product that is added on, and afterwards, the owner thinks he's the bomb.

but i know that it is easy as hell to get something faster cheaper that isnt ugly, so i dont see why not. an example is those superchaged 3800's that i dont much care for, but care for more than a v6 stang.
[edit] i dont see why "euros" or "altezzas" are always coined rice...they can at times be a nice accent. is it rice on the lightnings? i think not, but its your opinion to have.

To me...it's rice on the Lightnings, toyota altezza/ Lexus IS300, etc. I dunno I just don't like altezzas or euros.
Well, I take part of that back...altezzas belong on white cars and white cars only. I have never seen a red/blue/black/orange/any other color besides WHITE car that I can stomach altezzas on. People think they're a performance mod, but all they do is bring attention to your car. The attention *I* personally give is I shake my head at the waste of money altezzas are. when people think it's a performance mod and act all badass because of it, then it's truely rice. And it's so common now that it's not unique. So to me there's no point.
ya those rims are nice...if they were larger...or white...i might disagree...
and at least u know ur limits...

I was thinking about gettin some nice looking chrome accented 16s, (these are the stock 7 spoke 15" Si rims) I don't want to build this car to go fast, I just want it to look good.

ya...id agree that altezzas look best on white...but carbon fiber ones look ok on other colors too. and i think they are rice if they're considered a performance mod...id just consider it an individuality mod. and that would be a cool deal...chrome 16's...thats pretty big for civics, but not ricer big. like big to the point of looking good but anything more is overkill, like 18's on stangs.
The biggest I could fit on my Civic without rolling the fenders are 18s, but that would destroy the ride because of sidewall height and width of the tread would have to be limited. 16x5.5 is the limit I have for myself. I'm still not sure if I even WANT to get new rims. But we'll see.
I'd rather be driving a V8. but I can't afford insurance. For now I'm stuck with what I got...unless I get ANOTHER job...(to add to the two I have...)
Rice will NEVER be associated with car...NEVER. No altezzas, no stickers, no windshield LEDs, no 18" rims, no huge wings, no gay dual exhaust that doesn't work.
The only modifications I'll be doing on my car will be performance oriented. With the bolt-ons, I should be at 14.5 or so, and if I decide to do any actual engine mods, I should be at 13.6-13.8. That'd be cool.
No... I was gonna new new pistons, valvetrain, intake manifold, and maybe a few choice other things, sell my stock parts, and end up only paying $1500 or so. That'd put me at mid-high 13s on DRs. And then, I'd probably do a 75shot for the track, and break 12s. Not bad for less than $3K total invested over the price of the car

When I was car shopping I was looking into buying a GSR. 2000 or so, with the B18c1 and 180 hp. I love the look of the Tegs over the Civics. I don't know what I wanna do with the Civic yet. go fast, or look good? I dunno we'll see.
