Well, I have to say there are a lot or ricers where I live too, on Whidbey Island, WA. A few WRXs, and other ricers, all paid for by dear-old-dad, and most are the brats that give ricers bad names. Every darn time I drive to the store or gas station they look and watch to see what I do, but as yet, they haven't even stepped up. One of these guys even wrapped his new modded WRX around a tree, and his dad bought a new one for him! I mean, if you're gonna race, go to the track. I like speed and all, but I usually do it when no one is around, because I know it can get out of hand. I swear though, as the years go by, kids are getting dumber and dumber, and yes, I paid for my car too! Anyways, there is one guy with a nice Accord who isn't all that bad, who one day will learn to fear the Mustang.

I know how you feel, they put on a body kit and a muffler and think they are the fast and the furious. I love it when an eclipse or civic revs it up at me because i interrupt them with the roar of my 5.0. they could take 10 grand to make a 12 sec car, and with the same money and make mine run under 10s

Relax dude... V6's are nice drivers, its the rare one that really moves.
I agree that ricers are idiots, callin a V8 car a redneck car is ignorant. Just so happens one guy in my unit called my car a redneck car, now he owns a 99+ GT. He is also a member of this board now!!

tell me how they dont suck. you are just getting emotional over your car but not providing any evidence how they're good.
want me to give you evidence? mustangs are heavy cars. a v-6 just isnt enough engine to push it very fast. and another thing, kids with their little v-6 mustangs usually think just cause its a mustang that it somehow is a performance vehicle when its merely a car to get around in and look cool in.
and as your you heartbreighther, sure, i dont agree on how you did your car, but its not mine to do it with anyway. but just cause i disagree is no reason to jump in and act like you told me off. in fact, idrive01stang didnt really tell me off either.

I had no intentions of telling you off, just because we are on this message board doesn't mean we bought the mustang to go fast. I bought the mustang because 1. I am paying for it, not my mommy and daddy...which i am proud of myself for that only being 18 years old...2. I work full time and go to college full time--so this is a reward for me. I love my car--and just because I bought it doesn't mean that I bought it for a performance vehicle...or to go fast. And I definately didn't buy it to "drive around and look cool in it"
I really think it is in poor taste of you to put other peoples cars down...especially because its a v-6. I pay 400+ a month for the car...and thats an accomplisment in itself thank you very much.
You asked whats wrong with them and get mad at me when i tell you. i wasnt trying to start anything.

Once again, you asked my opinion of how they suck. also, you asking that means you most likely dont think they suck as performance vehicles, but now you recognize that they're not that fast...?
and why would you not appreciate me saying that they suck because it insults people on here? i thought you didnt appreciate it because you worked hard to get it.

My 03 Cobra is close to your friends 470rwhp and I have had similar experiences. Watch out for Supra's with upgraded tubo's. Some of them are putting out 800-900 hp.

Plus i know not everybody buys cars to go fast, whos the ignorint one here, the ricers or you? Back when mustangs first came out of the factory, they were not made to race. I drive a Civic Si and I hate it when people generalize ALL Honda drivers as ricers because there are a few bad apples out there. I know my car is slow, so I won't talk trash about it. Mustangs are cool but they aren't for everyone.
Just throw the fact that they're slow in their face and they can't talk.

I'm "ignorint"? Least I f**king know how to spell it. What chance is there to give to them? Sure, they both worked hard to get their cars blah blah blah ok cool. But really, I didnt start any of this. I just wondered if someone was kidding when they said V-6 Stangs are fast and then I get jumped.
So I'll say this: Do I respect their hard work and money put into their cars? sure. Do I respect their cars...not really.
