Hello All,

I currently have a 1995 mustang gt with 97000 miles on it. No major upgrades except for an off road h-pipe and flowmasters. I'm having some problems with it and before I take it to the mechanic I'd like to get some advice if anyone has experienced this type of problem.

Basically, my car is running more like a 6 cylinder instead of an 8. There are times when I take off when I'm at a red light and the car starts to buck even if I have the gas floored. This doesn't just happen when I'm in first gear either. Usually between the first - third gear the car begins to buck. I know my car is getting old but there is a noticable loss of power. One of my friends seems to think its the fuel system. Is this true? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

does it hunt for an idle? If so, try cleaning your IAB.

also try replaceing your fuel filter, and cleaning out you throttle body assembly

Thanks for the input converted/spike306. I'll try both of your suggestions. Also, I have another question. My Check Engine light flashes every once and a while and when i get going on the highway all of a sudden goes away. When I took it to the mechanic he had put it on the computer to see if any codes come up but nothing. Have you heard of anything like this before? I read a post where they had said it could be the O2 sensors, what do you think?

Thanks 91/Spike. Here's another question, I have tokico gas shocks and eibach drag springs. What can I do or add to tighten up the suspension?

bolt and weld sub-frame connectors, and strut tower. both easy to put on, and both not expensive
