Finally, back at it, Skinning the Cat for a hopeful pony.

We haven't finished the frame jig yet as we don't know yet whether to put the Mustang on it or the Cougar to work from.  We won't know that for a little while yet, but taking down the Cougar is the first step to seeing if we can use it.

Below are pics, of both cars in the shop and the skinning of the front of the Cougar. Next the doors come off and we try some measuements to see if we have to pull the engine and trans. before we can tell if it will work.

im with you dank i have 68 nobody would probably want to redo but i dont want to see it go to crusher.  We are going to mod it so not too bad in price to redo anyway dont have to worry about numbers matching and we can take all time we want no hurry to get to auction block plan on driving it for a long time when done.  since it was free i dont have to worry about fixing someone elses mistakes cuz obviously nothing been done good or bad lol,  Thinking about Heidts front end also which includes some of frame rail and all of front end i had to replace anyway anyone got any ideas on that .

Take a lone out and fix it. It's a vert and the money you would spend on a newer car you can have a beautiful mustang......

Defiantly have your work cut out for you! (And some rust to cut out as well :) Wow, 64.5 Vert. - IMO That's worth saving, sucker or not.

Man this cold won't quit. The forecast each week says "Warmer next week" but when next week gets here, it's still cold and supposed to "Be Warmer next week"... Getting old!

Finally got warm enough long enough to get the driver door off the Cougar, not so simple when trying to keep the harness intact.
Here's a few pics.  Got and loaded a new roll away tool box too. maybe it will be in next pics.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!
