Well the other day i decided to stop by a car lot and I spoted a GT. Turns out it's an 01 black convertable auto, it's got 65k on it and they're asking $6.5k for it. I asked the guy about the title and he said it was blue title. I test drove it, it drove strong. The car seemed pretty stock to me, no tint, no CAI, not even a cat back on it. Well maybe it did, but it was a little quite. I doubt it though. I reved the engine under the hood and it didnt make any squeaks and the transmission didnt jerk or anything changing gears. Now for the bad parts, the driver seat has a rowdy rip in the seat(not too big a deal, just needs reholstering), it had some stickers that said racing, not sure if they ever did. the passenger side door looks kinds like it had been pride with like a crow bar, not crazy bad but noticeable up close, also on that side it had a v6 scoop, so the car has a full and a half scoop(I bought some black ones before online for $100 shipped). Tell me what you guys think.

Clif notes: 01 GT convert, 65k miles, $6.5k, runs greats, no aftermarket parts, but has couple flaws "cosmetics" maybe $600 +/- total, depending on leather seat repair.

Get a carfax report and check it out.

Sounds a little fishy.  Being that the pry marks and the v6 side scoop are on the same side, maybe the previous owner scraped up against something?  Definitely get a carfax report (dealer should give you it) and check if the paint on the passenger side matches the rest of the car.  That would tell you for sure.

Yeah I do, and I do perfer it, but since it's a v8 it has more throttle response than a little 4 cylinder.
