haha, does anyone have a pic of the motor mounts installed, i want to make sure i have them right,...the bolts are in the holes so the mount is at a angle towards the outside of the car,...right?

Nice collection you got there!!!  The WRX looks like it will get up and spank a lot.  It might be easier if you took a pic of what you have and show us the angle of the mounts.  Unless someone else can picture it in their head.

I had no idea people were getting 2 seats at a time!!!  For some reason my car isn't keeping up with yours...maybe I need to work on it for that to happen.

well, little update, i have been waiting for a long time for the motor to be finished, but it was back and forth picking parts and changing things etc,...but here it is,...
ford 302 bored .30 over (makes it a 306?)
edelbrock aluminum heads
edelbrock rpm cam and lifters
edelbrock timing chain and gears
edelbrock rpm intake manifold
edelbrock 650 electric choke carb
edelbrock elite air cleaner
edelbrock elite valve covers with breathers
procomp electronic ignition
etc etc etc, and a whole bunch of chrome waiting to go on this bad boy,..i cant wait,

also lots os busy work, i have spent two 5 hours days scraping the under side of the car and getting it ready for a new coat of undercoating, i want the bottom to look as good as the top

that is jose holding the light, i dont even know why i let him work on my car, he drives a car with no pistons

leaving for canada for 4 days, will start building the rest of the motor when i get home next week:devil: getting closer to firing this thing up

Looking good.  The paint on the block looks like it came out right.

wait wait wait....... you spent the money for aluminum heads and your running stock rocker arms?

WHAT THE F*CK?????

spend less than 200.00 on a set of crane energizer 1.6's and you'll be much better off.

i was told they would not make that much of a difference,...i want to get the car together and running and then if need be ill change to some later on,...my main concern is bringing life back to a car that sat for 20+ years,...

Hey I just really enjoyed surfing through this thread... That is one incredible project and like someone else said, you make it look too easy!
Nice work, I will look forward to seeing the rest of your progress.
Good luck!

i wish it was easy, this has been one of the hardest projects i worked on, its my first old car so i am learning as i go,...its weird cause everyone that sees the car and what i have done to my other cars tells me i have a serious talent and something special, BUT I do not know whats so special about it,...i wish i could get into the automotive industry, but everyone i have talked to about a job is not interested since i havent went to school for this,...its just a hobby that has become more then love, something i want to do for the rest of my life,...

i have been in the food industry and worked my way up and willing to give that all up to wake up every morning and go to work doing something i love,...not to many people can wake up every morning and love what they do and love going to work,...

i figure i spend all my free time in the garage anyway, why not get paid for it,...so ill keep trying to wiggle my way into the automotive business,...

but thank you for the inspiration,..i have a ton more pics to post up
