I have a 2000 Mustang GT and was looking at this kit.....

Tokico HP Suspension Kit - For 99-04 Mustang V8
Part #: HPK237

  • Tokico HP Shocks & Struts
  • Performance Lowering Springs (1.5inch lowering)

HP series of performance non-adjustable shocks/struts, or the Illumina 5 position adjustable shocks/struts

Im tryin to go all handling and was wondering would I be better off with the non-adjustable or 5 position adjustable?

Would you recommend this kit for someone just starting on performance handling?

How stiff are performance lowering springs?

In the future im tryin to improve the handling of my mustang but not tryin to empty the piggy bank...is there any other recommendations that can help?

I was told strut bar and sway-bars would be a improvement.

Other then that the price is great just in my price range.

    Thanks

The adjustable 5-way Tokicos will give you a higher level of performance. They allow for stiffer valving than the HP's can offer. It is a decision for you to make whether you want the adjustable or not.

The springs in the Tokico kit have a mild street spring rating.... they will offer more performance over stock...   but will still be comfortable for daily street driving.

    Other recommendations:

We also have more performance oriented kits on our site...

Such as the StangSuspension Stage 1 & 2 Packages. http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=134  The Stage1 package has Steeda Sport springs which are a bit more performance oriented than the Tokico's. The package also includes some bushings and other add-ons which compliment eachother.

    Sincerely,
