So today i stopped at a stoplight after work and a black bmw m3 comes next to me. I didnt even notice it until he started reving his engine. i knew he wanted to race so after it turned green we raced and until the next light i was wiining. i havnt even put anything in my engine so i think this guy just took a 330 ci and made it look like a m3 or is a gt really faster than a m3? have u ever raced 1?

I raced one, my first race on the street with my stang. My first week driving stick, he jumped me off the light cause he made no sign we were racing. I lost about a car length but quickly made it up. I let off around 90ish the idiot puts it into fourth and goes to about 120 on public street. I think he didn't want to lose with his girlfriend in the car. I talked to him at the next light and he had full exhaust and some other stuff done to it.

Yep I had a cocky dude in an M5 just sure he could take a 4000lb. Cobra. We bet $100.00 and run 2 1/2 miles to the next exit. It was a cruise night. I would say I got him by a little over a mile. I actually let off so we could still see him.
I didn't even program to the KB race tune. No need. On 106 octaine and race program the car puts down over 840rwhp.

i raced one a couple weekends ago with a full car. he was in a vert with his lady, i had 3 passengers. all the girls in the back probably had a combined weight of 300lbs though. yeah, that M3 got raped. it wasn't a new one.

e39 m5, 394bhp, 0-60 in 4.9s and the 1/4mi in about 13.3. It is essentially identical in performance to an e46 m3, which is being discussed in this thread. Both ought to beat a stock s197, but not by much and not necessarily when from a dig. They are a perfect match for a cai/tune in a straight line, and springs/shocks/sways in the corners.

I managed to beat an M3 when all I had was a CAI and a short-throw shifter. What that tells me is that, clearly, not everyone can drive a car to it's potential.

Good friend of mine ran his 2003 M3 at the track. It ran a 13.6 @ 102. with a 2.0 sixty on 295 series pilot sports! Mild engine mods, extensive suspension mods.

I don't think they made a convertable m3. It was probably just a 3 series.
