Can you use 351 windsor parts on the 351 cleveland?

When the Cleveland first came out some hot rod types were using the C heads on W engines because they liked the valve arrangement better.

Other than that there are no common engine parts.

Maybe the head bolts...the only thing common is the piston spacing and head bolt pattern.

yes you can swap heads either way with some machine work, but why would you want to? the stock cleveland heads, even in the 2bbl versions, flow at least what the aftermarket heads for the windsor flow, and with a bit of port work they blow the windsor head away.

You can undeed use C heads on a Windsor with only a slight water passage modification. I used to use these " Clevors " in my dirt modified with great results. It's not a new idea.In fact the technology has been around for about 30 years. Ford had a little project that set the world on fire using C heads on a small block Windsor. They even had a secret codeterm for it ......................................... Boss 302.
