Indeed, that's the going rate for Saleen's exclusive colors these days .

On a related note, how the F does a brand new Extreme with a custom color get over a 100 miles on it?  If I was buying one of these "hopped up paint" monsters new, I'd tell the dealership to find me one with under 40 miles on it or don't waste my time !  I guess I have a sore spot for cars seeing a lot of miles before being sold/during their break-in period....because you know those miles weren't the easiest miles the car will ever see...

^+1 most of the new Ecars that are being sold have more than 60 miles on them. I know Saleen "test" the cars before being sold but I don't think they really need that many miles to "test" them.

I would be ok with it as long as it was Saleen Test miles and not dealer joyride miles.  But there had better not be a nick/chip/scratch on it anywhere or I wouldn't buy it unless it was fixed right.

They must not want to sell it too badly -- those pix don't do it justice!!

(But the car still makes me want to )

My car had over 100 miles on it... of course some of that were due to now documented trips to newport cars and coffee events before I bought it.  But over 100 miles on an E would actually make me feel good.  I'd want to make sure they believed the tune and motor were working properly.  You guys have been reading these forums right?

Who noticed the blue viper next to it in the showroom? Seems like an upscale Ford Dealer!

$90K for a mustang is insane. Get a Mercedes E63 AMG or a Z06 Vette and still have $15 in your pocket.

To each his own...but that car looks better than both the merc and the vette and would spank both of them so what are your reasons for it being insane?

Well, six figures (or damn near it) is insane for ANY vehicle...unless of course you have the loot spare   But like Mickey said, to each his own.  I'm not a vette fan or a Mercedes fan thus if I was crazy rich I would spend my 90k on this car in question.

Lets face it, 90k IS insane for a mustang, but so is 100k for an AMG or a Z06

You can get a new ZO6 for less than 90. The E63 with options will be a tad over 100 out the door.

I'd take a new ZO6 over that E car even though I think the E looks better. I know you used a happy face after your comment but if you have driven both cars you would know which car pulls on who. The vetter won't "spank a new E but it does leave it behind on the roll and from a dig.

The only problem I see with the vette is I'd fell like an old man driving it. You would get much more attention in that shiney pumpkin though.

Add guzzler and sales tax and that's a 100k Stang!  Might as well save a little more and go for the FR500C.

I agree with Polk on GG & sales tax, but I would never spend anywhere near 100k on a Stang anyway. If I were to spend that kind of money on a new ride, I would go BMW or Mercedes.

My E car came with a little sticker put on by Saleen saying what the mileage was when the car left the Saleen shop.  I'd ask the guy to send a pic of the sticker and if theres 40+miles extra, where the extra miles went

Sounds like a bargain price!!  Buy it for $90,000+ , drive it very little over the next year or two, then sell if for somewhere around $60K........IF you're lucky. "Profit" in the hands of a few. It's only money, right?  (.....and speaking from experience, so no hating or ranting, just telling it like it is.....).

Love the color.  The new extremes with that color just scream S7 Twin turbo.  Its for those of us that can't afford an S7TT. . . now what about those of us that cant afford an extreme lol

I have seen some with as many as 70 miles from Saleen, they attatch a sticker to the drivers side window saying how many miles they put on it testing it. They have done this for some time now, i have seen some 99-04 cars with test mile stickers on them also.

I do agree 100 miles is a bit execive, but it would be interesting to see how many miles the Saleen employe drove the car, maby he/she took it for a long test ride cause they liked the color lol
