Default it's a culture, man!!

Ya know, people ask me all the time, "why are you so into that CAR???" and I just smile. I smile because I know they just would not understand.

There really is no other car following quite like it. We even get names from our friends..."stanger" and "sally".. for our cars. No one ever get the nickname "civie". You get to talkin about cars with friends of people at a bar, and when it's your turn you say "Man, I own a STANG!!" It does not matter if ya have a 67 fastback, a late 70's or 80's piece beat to pieces, a 2003 GT or a 2005..... everyone wants to know about it, to drive it. I have had girls who, before, would not give me the time of day ask ME out now............ and I just smile.

There always have been and always will be other cars that are faster, we all lose from time to time, but it does not matter. Every stang guy driving down the street will nod when you drive by, walk up and ask ya for a look under the hood at the gas station, and race ya from any line in sight.

So be proud, man....... YOU drive a STANG!!!

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL that brought a tear to my eyes

but yea its true about what u said, a lotta guys (esp other stang owners) give u props. a month ago i was at the gas station and some dude wit a new manual 04 gt came up to me and was like "yea man u rockin a stang thats awesome " and he talked to me for like 5 mins. he even knew what year it was and everything. i was surprised cuz he had a manual gt and i have an auto v6, and he was giving me mad props on my car. (maybe he was someone from the forums lol) the only ppl i had diss my car are ricers, theyd brag abou thowd theyd beat me, but then i always prove em wrong. (haha eclipses? haha civics?? get outta here)

as for the chick factor, hmm i do notice that more girls look my way when im driving then when i was drivin the cavalier.
lol last week i had a girl who was willing to flash me and make out with me so she could drive my car .shes like "omg mustangs are my fav cars ever im gonna get one when i have money"....man it was a nice offer, but i declined[:@] ...im one of those types whod rather play it safe than sorry but ....damn shes kinda hot ....oh well...

peace

Well said Trebo, I feel the same thing. Mustangs are just beautiful cars. Their lines are perfect and just look right from nose to tail. I love the mean look of a 2" drop and some nice meats all the way around with a bad ass rumble from the exhaust. [sm=smiley20.gif]

Well said hun!!

I take incredible pride knowing I have a mustang. Sure, she may be a v6, but she's still a mustang, and she's sexy!! I always feel good when I go cruising around in the summer because people always give me a thumbs up or ask me if she's my car. People at work love her too. In fact, one girl that works there was walking out to her car with my friend and said, "That is the sweetest mustang I've EVER seen" about my car. It makes me smile, because I love my car more than ANYTHING.

i agree totally with everyone so far! I feel the same way, i mean, i can NEVER look at an import the same way again. When i was first looking for a car, i wanted a quick sporty import, i actually even considered one with a body kit and such, but thank GOD i didnt get one. I always get compliments on my car, even if it just a 6 banger. A few days ago i was driving home and some guy next to me gave me a high sign and a thumbs up..i just nodded and smiled as i drove off into the distance.

Anyway, anyway you look at it, your car is an extension of your personality. If you like a loud mean car, whats that saying about you? Your usually a person who is loud and not mean in a bad way, but in a good way. You never see a dashing young man coming from the country club in a 5.0 unless he means business. Its funny how i can label peole by their cars, its quite easy actually. Especially when you see tons of white kids with their hats to the side driving a civic on Pep-boy's spinners with the music up way to loud for their own good. The only thing about mustang owners that i have noticed, is that a lot of the ones around me act REALLY tough in their car and would never think of actually keeping their seat somewhat straight up. But maybe thats just how South Jersey is.

I understand what you are saying. Stangs are beautiful cars. I love the way my Stang looks after I wash it. When I see it, I get a sense of pride.

one of the best posts in this forum. and the best thing about a stang is the almost unlimited aftermarket, you can do anything with the body and wheels, and make your own style of car without having one sitting next to you at a light with the same stuff.
