Default '99 3.8 where's a good place to start on a tight budget?

I've got a '99 3.8 and I'm lookin for suggestions on where to start.
Lookin for the most horsepower for the lowest cost. (Not nitrous)
Currently my car's straight stock other than synthetic oil. (woo hoo an extra 3 horses... maybe...)
And I took the slack out of my gas pedal like someone suggested in one of these things...
But other than that nothin...

And on a side note...
Took my car to the track a few weeks ago for ****s and giggles...
Ran a 10.26 1/8 and a 15.8 1/4...
Can do better but only had one run...
Anyone know what a stock (standard) 6erCAN run?

Thanks,
Cooper

Thats a pretty average 1/4 time I think. Umm gears + differential is a good addition but it doesnt add horsepower just acceleration.

Used gears $50+ a locker(depending on your power range) 85-300+ $220(average) for install. And gears depends on your driving, and how much hp you eventually want are you a 5speed? Then theres all bolt ons but Nitrous/or Forced induction are best for the money everything else adds a couple horse

whats "a budget" mean? some people consider a budget a "$1000 spending limit" others consider a budget "i have about $200 to spend, and ill gradually have money to spend, but not a big lump sum at one time"

one thing i would say is that u have a manual so 3.73 gears would be beatr 4.10's would be a stiff gear to get in to so unles ur realy good driver or it is not a daily drive i would stick with 3.73's
