The other night me and my friend(2002 GT) were bored, so we decided to cruise around town. We then spot an White EVO pulling out of a parking lot. Love the way the headlights look at night on those things. Well anyways we caught up to him, me and my friend looked over at him, and he just suddenly takes off. You could hear the turbo spool up when he took off. We didnt chase after him cause the intersection light was red. So we lined up at the light. We talked to the dude a little bit, complementing him on his new ride. We asked him if he wanted to go, and he said he wasnt sure cause the motor wasnt broken in yet, but he finally agreed. We sat at the light revving our motors, keep in mind my friends stang is stock. When the light turns green we were off. The damn EVO took us off the line by like 1-1.5cars, we slowly creeped up but were behind him the whole time. We shut down at about 100 and we were back by about 1 carlength. We drove by him and he gave us the thumbs up. He had his g/f in the car, so there were 2 people in both cars. Cool guy driving an import, but ricers is what i hate. Anyone ever had a chance to run any of these guys?? Im sure a modded GT could take one, but those grocery getter cars are pretty darn quick. Cant believe a 4banger can actually pull a 4dr car. I dont think they got a big aftermarket yet, but once they do make some aftermarket parts, those cars will be sick. Im sure i would have worked him if i drove my ws6!!chrisle722037922.7513310185

he should have been running closer to 13's. Was the track in bad condition? 4500 would be considered shifting to low.

Remember that most of the foregin market is 4 bangers- either supercharged or turboed.. but God knows i don't support new mustangs and especailly against a EVO stock or not.

Ya, I don't support old Mustangs.

Stock for Stock the Evo is faster, and about 10+ grand more off the showroom floor new. Gears, traction & a 5 speed killer is enough to show one your tail lights.

Ugly ass cars though..

They are ugly IMO. F-body totally kicked ass back in the 60's and early 70's.

In my opinion, i think the EVO's look pretty darn sweet. But everyone is biased and has their own opinion on different cars. I live in san antonio texas, and everyone and their mom has a mustang, so its cool to see something new, like an EVO for a change. My friend is saving up and i think he wants to order a K&N intake and a 40 series dual chamber flowmasters. How much do 3:73 gears cost? Maybe we'll look into getting those also.

What? Older mustangs look better? Hell NO.. That's my opinion!....

I didn't like the stangs until the 01's  came out.. Dropped, with the right wheels and exhaust, its a keeper and a bad ass pony! Put a Kenny Belle root supercharger and..... well, you get where I'm going.

Newer Mustangs all the way baby....

But ladies and germs,

that's my (aaron's) opinion. Don't stop helping me cause I don't care for the fox bodies or classics please. They're all mustangs.

I like the way the 99+ look but I also really like the fox bodies alot.  I was going to originally buy an 86-89 but i ended up wrecking my daily driver cavalier i bought back i nhigh school so i said wtf why not buy an 03 GT.

ok this has gone on long enough.  classic mustangs are not god.  they didnt even really start to look good until 69.

first off, id like to state that old stangs, especially little I6 ones are about as common as aids in africa, so dont pull that crap.  second, i know hard work...blah blah blah... wouldnt it be cheaper in the long run to get a nice original one...and wouldnt it keep value better than a restored one unless it was done professionally?

and PS your name is the equivalent of "heart breightker" just so ya know.

Jug sounds pissed.

We have had a challenge for our GMvs Ford shootout in November. Seems to be an EVO wants the fastest car to come out. Rumor has it it runs 9's in the 1/4. We have a few first gens, a second gen, and a 4th gen taht will run near that. Im not sure what the Stang guys from here are bringing, but quite a few stangs down here run pretty good, like 3 feet of air under the fronts on launch. I hoope some of those guys are there to hand my loudmouth EVO his ass on a platter.. I only have $5k in my car, so I am happy with 11's for now. Maybe I can post a 10 sec slip for ya next weekend... time will tell. As it is I better get my car done, gotta roll guys, have fun and all that bashin on eachother and makin fun of ricers..lol

ps. A stock EVO doesnt impress me, nor does any import from the left coast side.
