Default What kind of Fuel Injector Cleaner

What kind do you guys use and how much do you stick in your fuel? I've heard from some people that I shouldn't use it because it can mess up your fuel system. Anyone know anything about that.

yea i used stp as well but u can buy fuel injectioin cleaner at almost any gas station or auto store. its cheap, and it cleans ur fuel system. it gets rid of the carbon buildup. just put some in as u put in a tank of gas in ur gas tank. but ur only supposed to use it around every 3000 miles , or about 30 tanks of gas. i usually put fuel injector cleaner in at the same time i change my oil.

last time i put sum in, i got better gas mileage also

Lucas fuel injector cleaner or Seafoam are the only ones worth using

I use Gumout injector cleaner. The nice thing is it also helps to burn off moisture in the tank. For severe cases, they make something called dry gas for you guys that live in the snow.

I recently used STP. I wouldn't recommend using it very often as most are concentrates of what is in most name brands to begin with. The only way it can mess up your fuel system is if you use too much, too often and even then I still haven't seen it happen to anyone.
