Hey whats up guys....for those of you that know me, you know that I'm recently engaged and have a wedding date set for 3-29-08....the wedding is from 10:30am - 1:00pm....everyone that will be there knows that I drive a kicka$$ mustang and everyone loves it!...I want to suprise everyone who shows up to my wedding with an 05+ Shelby GT500 because most of them have never seen real muscle in its essence in person, and what better car to show them than the GT500?...It will be parked in an exclusive area away from other cars for everyone to see and I will need to drive away in it after the wedding is over (we will drive around the lake that the wedding location is next to), then you can have it back....I would prefer a convertible for obvious reasons....the wedding will be in Auburndale, FL which is about 30-45 minutes west on I-4 of Orlando...the wedding location is 1 mile off of I-4....please reply here if you are interested in helping me out...thanks a lot!

You can rent a GT-H or I know at least in Los Angeles, and Florida isnt too much different, you can rent anything from a KIA to a Lamborghini. But you are trying to show off with anothers "CARROLL" insteadof your own "JACK". What if they see you after the wedding back in your own car again? What will you say then? Be proud of what you have. It is a lot more than what others have and when you can get your own GT500 in the future, show it off then. JMO. Congratulations on your wedding and Best wishes.
yeah,,, with your car you can do some awesome burn outs, I dint think a gt500 owner would approve of those, or is it that you just want to say you drove a gt500? cmon be honest
Have you tried talking to a dealer? Tropical Ford always has a few on hand. Maybe they might let you use one? If not, take it for a couple hour "test drive"

nah, everyone knows i dont have a GT500 and the purpose of me wanting to rent one isnt to try to act like its mine....i would say "its a rental"....its just that in this area, u dont see many of em around, so when they see one at my wedding theyd be like "D@mn, thats a nice car...its a GT500!"......
but i hear what you guys are saying about using my own car....i guess ur right....it will save me some money too....i guess now its time to mod it again for all to see!

FTR I get what you're saying and trying to do. It's no different than some wedding parties renting a limo, a horse and carriage, or a Rolls Royce. It's a fantasy-type vehicle for you and you'd like to include that as part of the touches that make your wedding special to you.
If I had one I'd rent it to you for the right price...I bet you can find one if you want it bad enough.
I don't know call me crazy...just sounds like you are trying to do something special for your wedding!! I understand where you are coming from...its not about your car its about your wedding and doing something special for the occassion. Everyone knows what your car looks like but the whole point of a wedding especially afterwards the newly wedded couple gets in that LIMO or in your case the GT500 which would be pretty kick ass. Him driving his own vehicle would be like having an attorney represent himself in trial...It just doesn't happen.

There's gotta be someplace in Florida that rents out exotic vehicles (Lambo's, Rolls Royce, etc) - I'd check with them. My guess is you're going to have trouble finding a private individual willing to rent you their car just because of all the shenanigans associated with the wedding (rice/birseed throwing, writing Just Married in soap or shaving cream on the windows). I know if I got my 500 back and it had birdseed in the engine compartment or soap/shaving cream stains on it, I'd be pissed!
Sure, why not? Bang down a few pre-wedding drinks, sauce it up a bit at the ceremony, grab a rented 500hp car and blast off! I'm sure the gt500 owners will be lined up.
