Besides the '90 Bronco and '67 Pontiac in my signature, my wife and I have a Durango (with the 5.9L engine) to haul the kids around town. Our Durango has been amazing -- 100k miles with only one repair to date and not a single creak or squeal in the cabin. I've only owned -- and will only buy -- cars built in the U.S. by the Big Three... Btw, I'm looking to get either an Aspen (w/ the Hemi) or a Yukon (w/ the 380hp 6.2L) shortly; please PM me your thoughts if you own either of these.

My daily driver is a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS and have a 2002 Toyota Celica GTS for the days when gas is over $3.00 a gallon. The SALEEN is for the weekends with nice weather and those nights to cruise. Cheers!

Saw one on the road and it looked really cool (for a Saturn, that is). The Saleen's my dd, hubby has an Audi Q7 SUV.

Mallett will install a Corvette Z06 motor in a Saturn Redline or Pontiac Solstice. Now that would be a crazy ride.

That would be obscene and awesome at the same time. I'd like to see that car. There are so many variations that folks can do these day. Who cars that oil is hovering at 86.00 a Barrel and just a year or so ago we were complaining about $60.00 a barrell. Go figure. I guess we haven't hit our threshhold yet.

ORIGINAL: 04#231SC For the person that was going to buy the Aspen, What is that vehicle? Just Chrysler's slightly spiffed up version of the Durango (http://www.chrysler.com/en/2008/aspen/). It has a Hemi, a decent interior, and a lifetime drivetrain warranty. And they're giving them away for cheap. I'm trying to figure out if Amy was kidding about the Saturn. Judging by her prior posts, I can't see that car fitting (what I perceive to be) her style. I guess if you lose the wing and the Saturn logo on the side of the car, it kinda looks like the spawn of a Viper and a Lotus...

On a separate note, the names they come up with for cars just crack me up. Cars like Tahoe, Aspen, Colorado, Durango (BTW, home of a college known to we Colorado natives as "Wasted State" -- pretty much if you want to major in skiing, you go to Durango) -- named after trendy places that are supposed to scream "outdoorsy, rugged, back to nature". What about Jersey City? Boise? Topeka? Lake Winnemucka? They must feel so left out!

Dammit, this is costing me valuable time at work, but Amy's thought about cars woefully named after bad cities is just too good to pass up. Top Ten Rejected City/Geographic Car Names: 10. The Dodge Paramus 9. The Ford Fresno 8. The Daewoo Beirut 7. The Chrysler Topeka 6. The Olds Orlando 5. The GMC Baghdad 4. The AMC Harlem 3. The Buick Tijuana 2. The Lexus Encino 1. The Mercury Butte Now THAT...is off topic.
