sounds like you want FRPP stingers with the stock H pipe. either way, the midpipe is whats making your car oppressively loud. the mufflers have less to do with it. put the stock midpipe back on; that should quiet it down enough. hope this helps!
Anyone interested in a set of slightly used Boom Tubes? I had them on for about 500 miles and have decided to switch back to my Flows (they were a bit too loud for highway driving which is what I do most). If you're interested in hearing how they sound, take your stock mufflers off and drive around. They are as close to that but a little more controlled. Still, just as loud.
PM me for details.

hey guru, i have a question. i really like the sound of lt's and x pipe. i have frpp stingers now. i watched this video of kooks lt's, offroad x pipe, and magnpacks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukoZt09SZ6w and i love it. However, do u think mine have will sound similar with the frpp stingers?
i also watched the video u posted of slp lt's, catted x, and stingers....also sounds very good but i'd be curious to hear what it sounds like when under acceleration. What are your thoughts on this?

that sounds exactly how I want mine to sound..those gears really wake the car up! looks soo much fun to drive.
Guru, i get that black soot buildup on the exhaust tips.....what's a good way to clean those
that black soot is i think carbon buildup. get a rag, try to elbow grease it out, if not, use soap and water, if that doesn't work, use mother's aluminum polish.

lol well that was on drag radials.

whats the best way to make SLP LM's louder?
an offroad h pipe or catted x pipe. not reccomended, though.

its not going to sound the same. magnapacks have a different shape, and therefore a different resonant quality. borla's are "open mouthed" deep, while magnapacks are "forcing it through" deep and loud and also have a very trademark sound that i'm sure you'd recognize. still, the borla's do sound very similar on an axleback system with an x pipe. almost identical, actually, as theres not enough pipe behind the muffler to exacerbate the differences.
under acceleration, WOT especially, is when i think this setup would sound the best. its a very smooth setup, and very naturally muscular sounding; if that makes any sense.
Thinking of getting boomtubes or FRPP stingers was wondering best mid pipe for them cant be offroad have to go thru emissions? And what about the pro chamber will it work?

for the FRPP stingers, i'd reccomend a hi-flo catted x pipe, or a prochamber. for the boomtubes, i'd just keep your stock h pipe or go over to a prochamber.

Do you recommend the offroad prochamber or the prochamber to stock cats for the FRPP Stingers. I cant decide! What manufacturer do you recomend for the h-flo catted x or prochamber that doesnt require any cutting of the existing system

off road FTW!!! no need to cut anything, it bolts up perfectly and sounds amazing
Is there much difference in sound with FRPP GTAs with stock h-pipe versus a catted x-pipe? I have the GTAs and I had the x-pipe installed at the same time I did the mufflers, so I never heard them with the h-pipe. I think they might sound better with an h-pipe.

not much difference at idle. you'll notice a smoother, more urgent sound above 3K rpms and under heavy load, especially WOT.

Thanks for the reply. Which one will sound smoother, more urgent under load, the x or the h pipe?

the x pipe will be smoother and more urgent under load. h pipe goes from lazy rumble to roar, x pipe sounds like your just waiting to get on it, if that makes any sense. example: offroad x pipe with mac axleback: http://youtube.com/watch?v=mxoDIMoZZSU

its just too blatty, personally i don't care for the sound of borla's period, i think they're just deep but don't have a good tone or resonant quality, and the o/r h pipe exacerbates this.
