Thanks, I'll try to check for possible leaking!!

EDIT: It's more like a resonating sound!! Does that make any difference?

yes.  sounds like the resonance from the exhaust is causing something to vibrate.  does it sound like its coming from the rear of the car? someone had a fix for this, to kill drone with the borla stingers.  Something about using clamps.

It's more like from the the front end!!
I checked all the hangers and clamps, all perfect!!

I put the car on a lift and the mechanic held the over axle pipes while I hit the gas, and he said it vibrates!!

And it's through the whole range (most of it), not just at the 3k rpm point, if that's the fix you were talking about!

If you can handle the loudness, do this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukoZt09SZ6w

This almost made me drop the cats, but aint worth it now cause all the system will go out for the turbo install, lets see how it ends, turbo, off road and pypes mid muffler.

buy another set of cheapo clamps at autozone and add them behind your existing ones. may help, may not.

am4.6--Have you heard ARH LT's with o/r h and stingers? I cant choose between the x or h. I'm kinda getting sick of my trumpeting with the o/r h now and dont really want that to get worse, however, i really like the rumble the H produces. Does the x get pretty raspy? Thanks guru haha

I think the o/r H reduced my drone level!

I'm just looking for a solution to my annoying problem!

I cant decide what to do...I have been looking at different setups online, but they all sound so different with the different cameras. I love the 2V Mac prochamber/Mac catback setup. I aslo listened to The Mac axle backs w/ O/RH and it rattled and sounded like crap. I just wanted to know if you have heard the Mac mufflers in person. Are they much louder than stock? I may eventually get a catted prochamber for it, but for now I want an axle back that you can hear from around the block...and Im sick of people recommending SLP's, and Im hesitant to get boomtubes without even hearing them at all.

SLP's or Pypes muffler deletes. I have heard that they sound similar but ones a helluva lot cheaper

the x is workable with cats and stingers.  heres longtubes, catted x, and stingers.......you don't lose that rumble.
http://s185.photobucket.com/albums/x133/Stanghole281/?action=view&current=0e5ba360.flv

the h pipe, in my opinion, doesn't work well with stingers without cats.  too blatty, as i'm sure you've seen.  go with the catted h.

I have heard the MAC axle back in person, sound like factory only much louder. So I have decided on doing all MAC( LT, prochamber, and axle backs)

Hey American

I am looking something that has a deep sound, that will be a little louder at idle, and a good amount louder at WOT, and pops when slowing down in gear or when revving the engine, that does not have a drone on the highway.  Do you have any idea?

Ryan

Man it sounds like being the exhaust guru is become more of a curse everyday.

You might as well just quit your job and man this forum all day.  Maybe they can make you your own Exhaust forum with you being the moderator.

Best advice I can give is you have to hear it live people!  The internet sucks!

if you want something with that dirty popping sound when slowing down, and meets your other requirements, it sounds like your looking for SLP Loudmouths.  they are louder at idle, MUCH louder at WOT, and defiently pop and burble upon decelleration.  there is almost zero drone with them.

Hey I've saw some videos of SLP Loudmouths and they sound extremely loud.  I have been pulled over for loud exhaust with my stock system.   How are Pypes Mid Muffler System?  I’ve also been reading a lot about mac boom tubes

THIS IS FOR THE GURU....I HAVE POSTED ALOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT EXHAUST SETUPS ON THIS SITE, BUT I WANT YOUR OPINION. LIKE I SAID IN ANOTHER POST, I AM THINKING ABOUT THE MAC MUFFLERS WITH THE CATTED MAC PROCHAMBER. I HAVE NEVER HEARD THIS EXACT SETUP BEFORE ON A 3V AND I AM HOPING THAT IT SOUNDS SMILAR TO THIS SETUP ON THE 2V. HOW LOUD COULD THIS SETUP BE, IM HOPING IT WILL BE HEARD FROM DOWN THE BLOCK, BUT NOT OBNOXIUSLY LOUD. ALSO CAN YOU PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME ABOUT A COUPLE OF THINGS...1) WHAT  IS "TRUMPETING" 2) WHAT EXACTLY IS A PROCHAMBER. I HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE AN H PIPE BUT LET AIR FLOW LIKE AN X. IF YOU CAN GIVE ME YOUR FEELINGS/KNOWLEDGE I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT... BY THE WAY, I SENT A LINK OF THIS SETUP ON THE 2V (I KNOW ITS NOT CATTED) BUT I WAS HOPING IT WILL SOUND SIMILAR TO THIS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdjqaSQ7xcc

it will sound good, and louder than stock, but not obnoxiously loud.  i honestly can't say for sure, but i think the prochamber will go well with the mac mufflers.  its not going to sound like that.  itll be a completely different sound, but a good sound.

i don't think too loud; but definetly louder than stock.

Great idea oh master of the exhaust. I was going to pm you to see what you think now I dont have to.
Here is what I have-o/r h pipe with mrt a/b. They are just way to loud chases all the competition away and my neighbor won't stop b/tch/ng. Now it will be hard changing the setup since it is the best sounding exhaust at idle I have heard. I liked the h-pipe by itself but wasnt that happy thats why I changed it but still an option. What is something that will give me good sound not wake up the neigbors or make the ricers to intimidated just by the sound.
