Heres my 06 with a Shaker, hurst short throw, 2.5 inch exhaust w/ h pipe and no mufflers. I was goin to buy a Vortech S trim kit today, but summit said they were "special order only" so i couldnt just pick one up... guess i gotta wait a week for it to come in. I cleaned her up and decided id show u how she looks. Today i got the DTE FLI FUEL ERR message... and i have searched and searched, and i know its the "fuel sending unit" caused by sulfer in the gas. What i didnt find was what kind of gas has less sulfer, ive used BP 87 or 89 for the past 6k miles and now having this problem, Isnt BP reccomended by ford? or which gas should i use. Well, i love my stang and cant wait to S/C it and get rid of this error message. My next move is to take it the the dealer under warrenty and get that replaced before i SC it! The white on the shaker hood is PAINTED on and under the clearcoat, and it looks great! The hood is also fiberglass. Heres the pics:
yeah, i heard that bp is ford endorsed. very nice car, its gonna be just as fast as it looks once the s/c kit comes. btw, you gonna do anything else to it (supsension, etc.) once you supercharge it, or just leave it stock otherwise? im planning on leaving mine fairly stock for as long as possible and im not sure if thats a good idea. anyways, cheers!

Well, i wanna do Lower control arms, Hood strut(shock thingeys)a front chin spoiler, side stripes( like the GT500's but id have it says " boss") and the paxton 1200 or Vortech kit, leaning torward the paxton now since i get get it sooner and cheaper. I autocorssed a few times and may look into suspension, but i think imm just stick more for straight line, so susension is staying stock for now, besides i think the stance looks mean in the 4th picture. The rears are 275/40/17's so they are a tad smaller Diamater and give more of a gap n the back and make the stance look different. -Jon

Don't make it say "boss" that won't look good at all... The boss never had a shaker... :/
Also I saw you said you didn't have mufflers... I always thought that running straight back is bad for a daily driver cause you don't get enough back pressure and eventually can lead to problems with your valves and such.?.?
well, i hope not, sounds great, the first 30 seconds of running it will pop when the rpm's decrese cause its cold, but besides that, and im sure its restricted enough to avoid valve problems, as its a full exhaust, a set of longtubes with cutouts would serve a chunk of less , and i even have highflow cats. Anways, I belive the SLP Loudmouths are just a set of pipes that replace the mufflers( so ive heard) and ive only heard of burnt valves from running a car with to big of primarys on a set fo headers or someone messing around running it w/ no headers. but a full exhaust w/ cats should be enough. -Jon
the PO worked at a performance shop and had it modded more, but took it off before giving it to a dealer buddy who i got it from. it had an intake, but that was pulled off and i am still unsure if i have a tune, but ive been using 87-89 octane.
And the idea of getting "boss" was because ive had people acutally ask me if its a new boss mustang??? and this picture:
Well at first I thought you had a FOOSE hood, but you said it's fiberglass so I know it's not that, it for sure is not a Cervini B2. The Cervini B2 extends the hood another 3 inches or so and has a couple other pieces that fit onto the headlight areas to make it sit flush again...
But slapping it with BOSS is still a bad idea, the BOSS if and when it's released will have a 5.0 in it. So to me it's like slapping on cobras when it's not, or having a v6 and slapping GT on it, people do it, it's it right, not in my opinion. But like they always say, it's your car... :)
But other than that your car is looking good, throw some new shoes on, lower it and FI, you will be on your way. Remember though with the Shaker, the easiest way to a SC is to get a centrifugal. The screw type will work, but will be a lot more fabbing to get it to fit right.
