i sometimes lauch around 6200 but if i was u i would find a far back road and practice because you need to get right between where the tires are not breaking loose and yet it does not bog down thats worked for me...... latr  kurt

How do you launch at that RPM?  I have a 9 1/2 drag radial on my car and I can't even launch at 2,000 without just burning them.  That is after I lower the pressure.  What hp are you running 1bdrd ?
