Thought some of you might be interested to know that the fastest stock 350z has ran a 13.2. That is pretty crazy considering the car has only 305 hp on a NA V6 and weighs about 3400 lbs.
I believe it. The new Z has a better power curve then the older ones. And I have seen the older ones run in the mid 13's. But most are in the low 14's.

It's 99.99 % unlikely in the real world.

The difference isnt perfect conditions. It is the 07 motor. The 07 motor is a brand new 3.5 vq that they put in the 07 Z. It is putting down 265-270 whp stock.
I think that 13.2 is like Evan Smiths 13.7 New Edge GT.
It's 99.99 % unlikely in the real world.

No, it's actually like a 13.3 in a stock S197. A 13.6 is definitely in the realm of the doable for a decent driver in a new GT. 13.2 in a stock 350Z is a freak accident. Otherwise, there'd be a number of entries around the net of ppl doing it........which is why I cast suspicion on that time being 100% bone stock. There should at least be 10 ppl around the country posting times similar or within a few hundredths if this were doable in any bone stock 350Z. But for some reason, only this guy can seem to manage it.
As said before, if it was a true bone stock run.......the conditions and stars and planets were all alligned perfectly for it to happen. As rare as high 12 sec runs in bone stock LS1's are........at least there have been way more than just one person that have accomplished it.......know what I mean?
One night, the local track here handed me a timeslip stating that I just ran a 11.5 second 1/4 mile in a bone stock GTO......tell you anything? Yea, sometimes the track times are WRONG. They make mistakes. No way did a stock 2007 350Z run a 13.2! If he did, he was modded in some way and to believe otherwise is crazy. Simple physics and common sense tell you that's B.S. They may have 305hp at the crank, but they are still heavy and have low torque down low. I believe a 13.6 might be possible with an excellent driver in a 2007 6spd.

You obviously missed the point. If that Z is going 13.2, one other is going 13.3, and ALL of the rest of the '07's are going 13.5-13.7, then something there is odd.
It's like if someone posted a 12.2 bone stock for a Termie, someone else a 12.3, and the rest were 12.5-12.6
Don't you think someone not from out site would be a bit skeptical about those runs?

It is somewhat believeable if you think about this....these cars are not hand built, they're mass produced. As such a certain tolerance is designed into them to accomidate the machinery of mass production being able to spit the same thing out again and again and have everything go together properly. That being said, OCCASIONALLY(like Bluebeast said, stars in perfect alignment) you may get a car from the factory that happens to be almost perfectly balanced and heave near perfect cylinder sealing etc, and as a result, it makes more power than the rest of the exact same car. That may be why once in a while we see an audacious claim of some fast bone stock time, when no one else can do it. But that certainly doesn't represent the vehicle class as a whole.

Best run 13.23 at 106.97mph with a 2.183 60' Times from before tune and driver mod.
You guys are missing something more important - look at the trap speeds. ETs are more closely related to the 60fts.
He's 2mph higher than the rest AND would be ranked #2 in the NOT-Stock '07s. It's most likely either BS due to non-disclosure, weight reduction or a nice, 40mph tailwind.

Yea, I noticed his 60 ft wasn't all that.......so either his car pulls really good into the higher rpm ranges, or he's got some addition (or subtraction) involved in his car's setup.
whipple HO SC,FRPP springs, Pypes mid mufflers, Che adj. LCA, hurst, 4.10's, 1 piece DS, spec stg 2 clutch. Accel coils 12.52@117.6mph so far with a 2.01 60 ft time(pre shaft, coils, clutch).

It's a v6 on stock rubber. Why is it not all that? Why don't one of you look at one of your 13.20 pass. I wish the showed the whole ticket. A car that traps 105 can run that e.t. with that 60'. My boy has a 03 bolt-on 6speed Maxima that traps 106mph and has be in the high 13.2 My bolt-on 2v would go low 13.30 but only trap 103. Those VQ can be fast you guy just need to believe it.
