Another sweet thing about this car is that it is the best looking Mustang I've seen and it has a supercharger look out GT500.

It is a beautiful package for sure...............

Nice looking ride!!!

Should be interesting when you race the old man. Make sure you swap drivers after and race again.  It will be pretty close if the GT500 is stock.
I couldn't say if my GT was faster or not with the Vortech.  Too close to tell.

Keep us posted on the outcome!

Hey Emp, nice car, a little heads up, from what I see in the picture, I believe you have a vortech HO. Not to say anything bad, just letting you know, again nice car and enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up, but its for sure a paxton novi 1200 unit, shelby has used paxtons since teh 65s (a handful of supercharged gt350s).  I know what I got, I did my research.  let me go snap a pic for verification. Thanks though, they are very similar looking kits.

(i put a red bubble around where the name "Paxton" is on the supercharger:

My bad, when did paxton go to air to water, I thought they use air to air intercoolers, oh well, learn         something new everyday.  Enjoy that thing to the fullest.

The Shelby Paxton uses the Vortech air/water cooler due to the larger sway bar on the GT. I have the 2200 HO kit with air/air and i had to fabricate a pipe to go under the oil filter. I am sure Shelby didnt want people to have to drop their pipe for an oil change like i do. Had i known i would have ordered the Shelby kit.

That is sweet!!!  That is what the Shelby GT's were lacking - A Super Charger!  I also like the new Blue w/ Silver strips.  I should handle and accelerate awesome.

ENJOY!

I would say probably mid-low 12s? I know a guy on the shelby forums I'm upped the boost 2 more lbs and uses an alcohol injection system and runs low 11s. lookin at 450rwhp and about 415 rwtq for my car. i dunno if anyone has a calculator for that...

Might be worth a trip to the dyno... Cause I think you might be a little surprised when it puts down something like 390-400rwhp.  For the money that was spent on such a car, I'd like to know what I got(but that's me)...

Paxton advertises their novi 1200 as a standard output SC, and in non-intercooled form makes around 420hp @ 9psi. But that's not rwhp if you read the fine print.

They advertise their novi 2200(HO) version with the intercooler making 470hp @ 9-10psi.(Again, that is not rwhp).

PAXTON

Stock   Standard(1200)    H.O.(2200 w/intercooler)

300HP       420HP             470HP
320 lb.ft.   385 lb.ft.         420 lb.ft.
                8-9 psi            9-10 psi

I'm in the Dallas area too. But I've only had my car for 2 weeks, and haven't done much other than drive it to work...

hey black hawk if you ever wanna meet up let me know, shelby advertizes there paxton kit as something like 485 fwhp (thats off the top of my head from their 2008 catalogue) so im just guessing really, i am going to get it dynoed (dynojet) and tuned and ill throw up my dyno sheet here so we all know what it REALLY is. also, im running the intercooler so thats a bit of a bump, for the record. blackhawk, i live by the addison area (keller springs/tollroad) so if you see a black car like mine runnin around with limo tint its me

yes, the intercooler will bump up the hp a bit, but not enough to eclipse the novi 2200 unit with intercooling at the same psi which is 470 crank hp right off Paxton's site...

I'm in McKinney/Allen. I don't get out much cause I work 3rd shift, and have 2 small kids. I'd like to make it to a meet & greet or two before I move to Houston in May. We'll see how things go.

Those numbers from Paxton are wheel HP, not crank HP. They are also conservative, there are guys with the 1200 putting over 420rwhp down. The 2200's are putting from 470-500rwhp down.

Than why would they list stock numbers as 300 and 320 respectively(which is crank hp)?

Now you again look at what I posted(directly from Paxton's site) and add in the rest of the page...

"With an increase of up to 170 horsepower, Paxton's 2007-2008 Ford Mustang supercharging systems are the ultimate for the street in a bolt-on package."

PAXTON

Stock   Standard(1200)    H.O.(2200 w/intercooler)

300HP       420HP             470HP
320 lb.ft.   385 lb.ft.         420 lb.ft.
                8-9 psi            9-10 psi

Not saying your not right, and not saying their numbers aren't "conservative". Just posting the exact info they give. And when I look at the numbers 300HP + 170HP = 470HP  Which are not "wheel" numbers.

Maybe it boils down to what kind of numbers Paxton has actually
obtained from their own personal dyno numbers when r&d'ing the
kits, and with a variance between dynos, cars, and correction
factors, it quite possible the numbers are not conservative.
But more likely 'different' which each application as it's possible
for two bone stock 07 GT's to read two totally different hp numbers(on the same dyno)?
