Hey guys, new to the forum here. Just bought my friends 1970 coupe that had a 67' 390 dropped in it right before he bought it. question is this. The engine barely fits in there and im thinking it may be the headers becasue he has the full Hooker headers and it just JAMS the engine compartment. U cant even get to the spark plugs. its that bad. Secondly, at like 2,000 RPM im getting a very loud miss in the car. could that be the points? exhaust not free flowing enough (just straight pipes with summit super fows or somthing, no H or X pipe) maybe i need to put some petronix in it? and as for the wiring. There is no high beams and turns signals dont work SOMETIMES..... how hard is it to rewire these cars? and one last thing. Whats a good carb. size for the stock 390? Thanks guys

Stock manifolds may create more room.
Electronic ignition...because it's the 3rd millenium.
Wiring; not sure.
600 cfm will probably work good with stock setup.
