my GT vs. jetta T on route 22

Ok.. i was coming home from NYC and was on route 1/9 to get to 22. there was a jetta(2004 or around that yr) pull up and started reving. I looked at him and smile. as i pulled onto 22 he was behinh me. as soon as we were off the ramp. we both hit the gas. I think he has turbo. it was quick though. He had me until 4th gear. as soon as i shifted into 4th i started to pull away. then we hit traffic near hillside then he took the first right turn into the shoprite parking lot.
i wasn't expecting him to be that quick.
anyhow, the guy wasn't a real racer. i think he got scare or something.

Rt 22 is not the road to race on...FYI

i didn't think that was his route home.
he followed me cuz he wanted to race.
