If you are into quarter mile racing, then you made the PERFECT choice. [:)]. Sorry, I didn't know that. In that case, you are going to be building a monster of a car, for less than a Z06. The advantages (in a straight line) of a Z06 tend to be aerodynamic (high speed), and in curves. And I don't think there's a 2007 GT500 going for less than MSRP even used with 5,000 miles. And $37k is WAY under MSRP. You did good! quote:
ORIGINAL: darthvader1111 Alright guys. Most of you seem to think that I am comparing the 500 in the hadling department. I only drive to work and back, and may take some trips to the strip with my buddies here and there. That said, I will soon be ordering and installing the Kenne Bell stage 3 kit with drive shaft, and rool cage here in the next few weeks. I drove a z06 today, and yes it was fast, but I truly believe that my hellion gt with just under 500 whp/530wtq was a little quicker. For I know now that the gt500, dollar for dollar is the best choice for me. All I need is straight line racing, not road racing. Even I know what a 700+whp gt500 will do to a c6 z06. So for all that must know, I will be totaly in it for 55K when all said and done for an absolute brute monster of a street car. Thanks to the last few guys for making me feel I made the right desision. I really thought I had messed up, but know now that when it comes to the gt500 modability....Its a truly awsome machine. Thanks guys. Oh yeah, some jack-arse said he could get an 07 gt500 with 100 miles on it for 37K!!! What do you guys think?
