i have a vert, it gets tons of looks. but i get tired of driving it everyday mainly because of the squeaks and rattles. thats where the 65 and 95 come in but neither of those are road worthy yet :( . so if i dont want to drive my vert i drive my beat to heck looking truck(its an 85f150 with a 300 i6 and 4spd manual=bulletproof) but its got ac and ps so its a pleasant ride although it doesnt look great. i plan on picking up an 03-04 termi. i might go vert but i highly doubt it but i know it will be auto with boost upgrades and hopefully a large turbo with some 2.73 gears in the rear

Cobras came with a 6 speed manual transmission.

\
they came in auto too

quoted for failure

anyone can call anything gay nowadays....doesn't matter what it is or if it even makes sense.  example, "i got grounded today for sticking it in my girlfriends pussy"

"oh thats gay"

?

hey ass, have you been in a GT vert?

not an s197, but I test drove an '03 vert when I was buying my car.  too hot in the summer for me to ever want to own one and I wouldn't be willing to pay for the extra pain in the ass factor.

I dont' mean gay that way, I mean gay as in the "I like penises and I have my own, too" kinda gay.

and yes, a lot of girls like riding with the top down.  when some ride with me (yeah, laugh a little here) they always ask to drop the top so they can play their own ****ing music and throw their arms up and dance and ****ing **** ****.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.

replacing or repairing the additional stupid crap relating to the vert top and its mechanism.

I would have gotten a sunroof in a split-second if they had them as an option.

That does sound badass and I would seriously consider it, but I would think that would add a ton of weight with the mechanism and the heavy duty safety glass needed to make people not go "Holy crap all you have to protect in a roll is glass? YOU GONNA DIE!".

I won't knock it until I see it, but I bet a good 'ol T-bar will still be the most efficient way weight to fun ratio, smartest way to do it.

I am very annoyed that they don't make mustangs with T-tops anymore.

I think the vettes have a removeable roof, but I don't think it's like t-tops where you can take off just one side.  in fact, I don't think vettes have had the t-top design in 20 years.

glass roof is the new t-top

and ford has already tested the glass roof for rollover and impact, and its every bit as safe as the coupe

T-Tops

T-Tops are probably the prime reason why I have held onto my Z-28 for 12 years.     I spent some time driving around with them out today and it never gets old.

Over the past 6 years, I often toyed with the idea of  getting rid of my Z-28 and getting a new Mustang GT.   If there had been a power sunroof or T-Top option on a Mustang GT, I may very well have done it.

The glass roof sounds like a great idea.  Even if you can't open it, I like being able to look up and see something besides the interior fabric.

I am not saying I am worried about the safety.

I just bet it takes some really strong, really HEAVY glass to make it as strong as a metal roof, adding a bunch of weight over the stock coupe, while T-Tops do not cause that.

i don't think it would add any more weight than an extra windshield would

except the saleen powered one. probqably weighs more than the vert

eh, **** happens when **** breaks.

i'd be scared to know what the total headroom would be if ford put a moonroof on the new edges....maybe they will have a t tops option for the new ones..........................
