3920lbs dry is the wieght of a GT500. I then put the wieght of my 07 with me in it (3790lbs) ....

I was not sure of the numbers, I was watchin some show on the tube but, it was a while ago. I would of thought that with the drive train (5.4) and such in the 500 it would have been heaveir. Interesting.

ohhh man... it's a shame a shelby GT is only going 2 tenths faster than a lincoln down the 1/8 and the 1/4....

Yep! It sucks. The car is definitly not set up for the dig's. Needs alot of changes to make down the track decent. It's biggest problem right now is traction. The way the car suspension is set up (Road Course), there is no transfer of weight, and the stock tire's don't help any eithier. But it was fun to give it a try. Don't really want to change the car around because it's my daily driver, but maybe next time i might try a set of DR's to see what it will get me. After the first of the year It's going back to Shelby for the S/C upgrade and would need DR's for sure.
And yes, My driving skills with a stick car suck too......
I have always raced automatics i dont have enough seat time in the Shelby at the track. The way the car is set up is not helping eithier...... Mostly a once in a while deal for the strip and have some fun, Gal takes alot of maintance and the Shelby breaks it up once in a while.
