Default Charger SRT-8 Kill

Cruising to work today, I see a black Charger SRT-8 following somewhat close behind me. I figure this guy wants to run. The road is wide open, nice and smooth. So, we get to the next light, and he is one car behind me in the right lane. Thankfully, the car in front of him turns, and now we are lined up. He nods at me, and gives me a cocky smirk. Finally, the light turns green and I launch my car at 2500 RPM and fly off the line. Immediately, after my car shifted into second, I was 1+ car length ahead and pulling. I shut down at the next light maybe alittle more then a 1/4mile down the road, and I had at least 3 cars on him. Possibly more.. Yes, it is risky to race on a street. However, it was wide open, no other cars in the way, and a smooth road. The guy passed me and gave me a little wave. The next light we meet up, and he gives me a little golf clap, and that same smirk. After that we went our separate ways. This was my first kill worthy of my new Vortech. God it feels good. I bet the guy was crapping his pants, and wondering how a "stock looking" mustang beat him. Although, I am sure he heard my S/C right after he lined up, as when idle, it makes noise. I guess he still thought he would win. Thanks for reading guys!

nice kill man! Been dying to know how the stangs would hold up against one of those! How do you think a non-charged stang with normal bolt-ons would do?

I am putting down 425 RWHP and 379 RWTQ without my 20's, but since they are on, I am putting down 410 RWHP and 369 RWTQ@ 11 PSI.

A full bolt-on mustang with a good driver will hang with an SRT. If you can run low 13's, like a 13.1 or a 13.2, you may hang with one. I do not see a bolt-on S197 beating one with equal drivers.

put it this way b-4 my magnum srt8 was stolen i used to murder stangs, i had the basic set up plus a 125 shot which i didnt need to kill stangs, srt8s have a nasty top end 170+ . your best shot its from a dead stop and even then does not look good.
