I tried to run it on the street but the cam is pretty big and it makes for an Idle or Full throttle ride and that was just a cruise to work, about 3 miles. I wish it could have been more streetable but, for what it is, it is what it is..... My oldest girl is getting ready for collage so the gals day's might be numbered to help her achieve her goal but, time will tell. Tell me what cha think. There is no interior except for the usual race stuff, because the intent was never going to be for the street. Wife said the first ticket i got she was going to slam the hood on my head.............
Ok, Go take a lookie, Mix of old and new...........

everyone knows thats ford 90% of the reason mustangs exsist is because of the 6 cylinder, heck back in 64 all you could get was a 6 cyl and guess what, it was marketed to women in their 30s,
Um, you might want to do your research before you make posts like that. The 1964 Mustang did in fact come with V8's. A 260ci version and the long-lived 289ci. And it was not marketed to women in their 30's. It was meant to appeal to the younger 20-something generation, both male and female.
Come on dude, I know you were just trying to stir up crap with that post, but at least try to get some of the facts straight.
And if anyone has already corrected him on the V8 thing then I apologize for stepping on your toes. But I'm not gonna waste my time with reading through 10 pages of what is probably a flame fest anyway.
My Magnum RT can beat a stock GT from a dead stop or roll on. I know, I've seen me do it. My Cobra can beat my Magnum from a dead stop or roll on. It's like the circle of racing life, there's ALWAYS something faster, even some 4 door wagons!

What, a 1996 GT? Give me a break. Could someone show the old people car drivers the door, please!

I have yet to race on an official track, although if you know of any open drag days at a strip around Charleston, SC, I'm ok with showing up and embarrassing someone. It seems that some of you believe that a Mustang simply can't be beaten, for whatever reason. Few people seem to be able to fathom the idea that, when two cars are close performance-wise, the DRIVER wins the race. You could put my "old person" Magnum up against a Hennessy Viper, and if the guy is a crappy driver and can't stop the tires from turning to dust, I can keep it in first gear and win!
I own both cars and can tell you that BOTH are fast. You just assume based on what you read on the internet.

wow... someone has a skewed sense of reality, I hope you are talking about a well modded R/T against a stock new edge
because I have a magnum R/T kill with my bolt on automatic 2004 GT from a 40 roll.... and it was enough distance to know that bolt on's diddn't matter
I'd say a magnum is more of a drivers race against my freaking lincoln LS than a drivers race with an S197 GT... take a hike, it's you who doesn't know what car is capable of what... and for you to say I think a mustang can beat anything is a laugh, theres mustang owners here that would like to choke me from past episodes of putting crap talking pony owners in their place... but what they don't understand, is when someone like you comes in I will defend the truth when it is needed... and you my friend are full of uncle bens family recipe this time around

We know what both cars do at the track with perfect drivers and perfect conditions...it's really easy to dismiss you based on that data alone (and that is assuming you are a perfect driver).
BTW if you can beat a Viper with your R/T you need to call 911 and get someone there quick because there is a high probability that the guy in the Viper just had a stroke/MI.

Yuck. I HAAAATTTTTEEE that fu-king car. To me it looks like they stole from the Mustangs apppearance and put it in the SRT8s appearance. I dont know maybe its just me, but when I look at it I see a poorly imitated Mustang---appearance wise. The blackout panel makes me nauseous. Great Kill.

Not correct, The 64 mustang was marketed torwards the Secutary, 6 cyl commuter car. It is true that more women like the Mustang than men. The GT was to answer the male owners who wanted a car with more power. most women could care less about the power they like the looks. If you drive around town and look at who drives what you will be suprized. the Charger and 300C were marketed torwards the African American Male. Just Like the Camaro appealed to Mullet wearing Rednecks. The 350Z is marketed towards the Tuners with a more refined taste and class.... LOL
