Default Dry weather tires for Cobra

Alright, I'm not sure, so I figured I'd see what you guys think. I have an 03 cobra with enough power that no street tire is going to grip it. However, I want to get the best street tire I can get. I don't want to go so far as to look at DRs because I'll drive it enough that I want the tires to last at least a decent amount of time, however I plan to keep it out of the rain, so a dry weather tire is fine. This will be on stock rims (17x9 I think?). What is the suggestion for the best grip that I can get? I thought that the KDW NTs were supposed to be really good, but the biggest they make for 17" wheels is a 255. Am I better off with something like that or going all the way out to a 275? Oh, and I'd like to keep the price reasonable. I'm not looking to spend a fortune to get the absolute best, just the best for the price.

Thanks in advance.
