Yes. They are forged and built to handle a lot more than 700 hp too.

I didn't know that the GT500 engine came with forged internals. The car might not be as useless as I thought it was...

*Retarded Question Alert* Can you buy/use the forged internals for the 5.4 Cobra in our GT engines? I'm still a newbie to this ...lol

If I remember correctly, the GT500 has almost the same mill than the Ford GT. The Ford GT has the aluminum block, the other one don't. And yes, it's all forged inside.

You seem like a big spender or willing to spend anyway -- why not get the Super Snake with 725 stock? After you sell you're stang then your paying less then a new GT500

if your going to spend that much money on a mustang, you might as well spend a little more and buy a Z06. you will have no competition on the road, besides HEAVILY modded cars. ferrari's and lambo's cant even keep up. the 09 Z06 is on my spopping list for next year :)

I'm not sure what the engine is good to, but i know its beastly enough that the transmission and rear will have problems with the power long before the block/pistons/rotating assembly do.

That's what they say about the drivetrain when you near 700+HP. I'd stick a 9' rear in there and maybe give a call to Richmond for the trany.

After you sell you're stang then your paying less then a new GT500 The SS Package is not sold through Ford. Generally someone Buys a GT500 calls Shelby America and Asks to be put on the Waiting list to have it converted to a SS. Not saying some Dealership out there hasn't alrerady done that but it's more then likely not very common. The price to play the 725hp game from Shelby America is $28K not encluding Taxes or Shipping there and Back. A better way to get 700 to the rear wheels is Get the GT500 send to Evolution Performance have them install a Stage 6 (KB Huffer) Package then a 1:3.73 Currie 9" Rearend and Third member. That will run you about $13K, Not encluding Shipping!!
