Hello all. Incase you didn't read the New Members Area ,I have to replace the top on my 92 5.0 LX Convertable due to a black bear ripping a chunk out of it. I guess I would like to get some advice on replacing the top. Should I take it to a shop or order one from JC Whitney and do it myself. Does anyone know of any links, videos, or other information on replacing the top. I am fairly mechanically inclined and do like a good challenge but I am a little hesitant on this one.So what do you say ? Take to the shop or do it myself?

I was gonna try it on my '89 got right down to ordering but checked out Yahoo and google...simply asked how tough it was...several people answered the same way...I wouldnt do it again nor help my best friend...word was to shop around and have it done...trouble with wrinkles and getting it too tight...ABC did mine in Leaque City Texas...around seven hundred...needed pads, new rear glass panel and cables....loved it...dont try it if you intend to drive it monday....
