ahh so im having the worst luck ever with my car lately.  It was fine all day today when suddenly when I crank it up to go somewhere it sounds like ****.  Come to find out the flange has broken off my driver side exhaust manifold so now im running a open header on one side and a o/r flow on the other.   ahhhhhh!  I need a quick and cheap fix right now.  Should I get it welded back or get a take off....or change them to the 94-98??

is it the flange between the manifold and the cat

and what year is your car ford has a TSB for that it may be a free fix go talk to the dealer

but if its the manifold its self ford says their is no way for ac condensation to drip on that and make it carack like it made the flanges and it is not covered under that TSB

but ford has a repair kit that comes with new flanges gaskets a drip shield to catch all the condensation and divert it to the ground every thing you would need to fix it

no right now my exhaust manifold has no flange on it and it is the driver side manifold not the passanger where the a/c drips.  plus I dont think ford would fix mine cause I dont have any cats on it at all

If you can get it re-welded for cheap do that. if not the 94-98 would work well. Why not LT's, nows the perfect excuse for them. I just seafomed my car yesterday and i had smoke coming from my driver's side mainfold flange so im soon going to be in the same situation. Also i would get it repaired ASAP

I may have a stocker in my parent's garage, but it'll be a few days before I can get to it, they live 45 minutes away.

id just have it welded, it will probably last a little longer than replacing it. i think i had mine welded back for $50. it was where the flange meets the cat though.

been there done that .........it was caused by the replacement exhaust not fitting just right and putting stress on the flange......all it took was a few degrees off and forcing it with the flange bolts to come together...pooof broken within 3000 miles of the exhaust being forced to come together.
had it rewelded and and reworked the exhaust so it doesnt bind to match on the flanging surfaces and so far its holding just fine.

Do u have a new video. I was wondering what my mustang would sound like without the cats. Does anyone know how to make a car sound louder at idle?
