I though it was a good "FYI" quote:
ORIGINAL: Burnsy blueherd02Gt- i dont understand what your posts are supposed to say: the guy 22kart met said that microfiber was too abrasive, he didnt mention chamois, and microfiber cloths are much softer than chamois, so i dont understand why you posted that quote.

Most of the issue with swirls is not normally the polishing etc. Its the actual washing. If you want to do it safely invest in a good lambswool mitt good ones are generally leather inside. And some gritguards for your buckets. Use the 2 bucket method to wash. 1 bucket with soapy water 1 with fresh water for rinsing. Wash the wheels, wheel wells, and other trim door liners etc first. Then spray the entire car down with water get it soaking wet. Take lambswool mit and put in soapy solution get it nice and wet too and then wipe over 1 panel at a time unless its the hood then do it 1/2 at a time before rinsing the mitt in the fresh water. If you invested in some gritguards run the mitt along the gritguard while doing this and then squish the excess water out. Remember to wash in a straight line not in a circle. Start over with the soapy solution until the entire car is done. If where you soaked it previously started to dry wet it again with the hose. To dry use microfibres and pat them on the surface do not rub them on the surface. They will still leave some littles bits of water so get these off get some waffle weave towels and again pat it off. Just keep dabbing it do not rub it along the surface. If you have vinly etc when washing make as few passes along it as possible and again dab it when drying. Do all that car should remain swirl free for a long time. I prefer to use the meguiars gold class wash and waxes polishes etc use various things. If you want to be really shiny and you have some major spending abilities the Zymol Royale Glaze is about as good as you can get for waxing. It comes in at a rather hefty $7000+ though. But you do get free refills for life... Still think little bit more than most of us are willing to spend. If you have lots of swirls though get someone to machine polish the car for you or invest in a machine polisher and some decent polishes.

Just get a porter cable and be done with it, makes a black car look amazing if you do it right!
