well i figured that since this section was for concepts and rumors i would tell you a rumor about the Govnt. They are supposedly working on a
plane that will hit Mach12 or around 8000 mph. HAHAHAHAHA THAT IS CRAZY FAST

Thats quick as ****... it'd have to be way way up in the atmosphere. the pressure and heat exerted on the exterior would be extreme.

The SR-71 Blackbird could only reach Mach 3 which is PLENTY fast enough to out run any SAM or ICBM ever built by any country. But the program was shut down due to the cost of operating and maintaining the fleet. I don't think there would be any use to a plane that can fly mach 12 since the age of satellites.

btw... Mach 1s are Mustang Sex on four wheels...

but this fugger is super-duper, toe-curling, multiple-orgasm sex in teh air.

I think it won't make it out of concept, the military simply has no need for a jet that can fly those kinds of speeds.

Well, from what I have heard... it won't be flying in this atmosphere. It flys in the exosphere or the one right before it. My take on it's purpose is supposed to be a spy plane. But then again, the military never reveals their plans until it's official (ie: Stealth bomber).

the "aurora concept" has been around or in development for ahwile. I remeber when i played with my micro machines, i had an aurora and that had to be around 10 years ago and it wasnt brand new then either.
but its true, there cant be much use for a spy plane like that when we have a bunch of great satellites.
