He probably meant that he has been on forums dedicated to the Mustang for over 8 years. It just so happens that this site is called Mustang forums and so when he mentioned "I have been on mustang forums for over..." it got a little confusing.

RE: Why I have been away....(new car, engaged, etc) - 
it takes all of 2 hours at most twice a year (once to take off, and once to put back on) to swap a mid pipe for the emissions test. and that 2 hours that it took me, i did on jack stands. if you have a lift or whatever, you could do that in half the time!
