I HAVE AN 2006 SC 281 RAGTOP. I DECIDED TO DO THE UPGRADE. I TOOK IT IN LAST THURSDAY AND GOT IT OUT OF THE DEALER (LANDMARK FORD IN PORTLAND OREGON).THEY SAID THEY WILL HAVE IT DONE BY THAT EVENING.THEN I GET A PHONE CALL FROM THE SERVICE WRITER SAYING THEY FORGOT THEY HAVE TO HAVE SALEEN FLASH THE CHIP IT TOOK 6 DAYS FOR SALEEN TO GET THIS DONE. A VERY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT ON THIS WHOLE DEAL. WHEN IT COMES TIME TO BUY ANOTHER SPORTS CAR IT WAS GOING TO BE AN EXTREME BUT I DOUBT THAT NOW.

That's silly. It takes Saleen at most 3 days to get your PCM back to you. They have an overnight box with the kit!
Your dealer screwed up. I've seen people overseas get their PCM back in less time than that from Saleen.

If anything, I would have to say the smoothness of my dealership and Saleen in getting my car to me (4 days total) was one reason that I would do it all over again.

I would encourage you to find a good dealer or deal with Saleen directly and not let one incident stop you from getting an Extreme.

+1.....a shortened version of what happened at the dealership was.....someone took a day or two before they tried to find out just what the hell they needed to do.  By the time they did, they built their "lazy" time into the amount of time Saleen needed to do their end of the deal.

Maybe they used the overnight label that comes with the 475 kit and used it to rush in another shipment of Birkenstocks?

Buy some Birkenstocks....lol..that is hilarious.  You must of visited P-town.  Everyone is really green here...I sometimes refer to them as "mossbacks" if they are total granolas.
I moved to Portland 5 years ago from Austin and I miss seeing all the mustangs in Texas.

Well Tim your not alone i live right across the bridge from you in Vancouver.. Zoom06  Jared is right  Landmark ford is pulling your leg...  They don't have the best saleen service thats for sure... I spoke to Steve in there service department about the the hood on my 3 valve when you get the car around 70 it looks like the hood wants to come open... He told me that All the saleen hood's do that.... And there is nothing they can do about it.....  So i ajusted the latch and the rubber snubs ... it's better but still not like it should be...

I wasn't too happy with Landmark either.  I took my 05 in for the notorious exhaust rattle and they just bypassed the vaccum valves with a rubber plug.  I didn't want to exhaust bypassed as I thought too free of exhaust might compromise the low end torque but it probably helped the high rpms.  After I hassled them that they should replace the exhaust with the 06 EOM exhaust; they replaced it under warranty.
I also had the 281SC window inserts install on my car and they forgot to remove the stickers on the back of parts.  So I had to take the car back and have them re-installed.  Imagine looking through you quarter panel window and seeing a price tag on the back of your inserts....high class

I'm sorry about your experience with the dealer but I do the PCM programming at Saleen and all PCMs leave here, overnighted back with 48 hrs. of reaching my desk unless they send it on a weekend due to the fact that we are closed. The only other issue that would cause additional time is if they did not fill out the questionairre completely with all the information needed to correctly program the PCM and I have to contact the sender and wait for a call back with the correct specs on the vehicle.
