I have an 06 V6 pony pckg. vert. The car only has 8500 highway miles on it. Lately I am thinking that when I hit a rough patch of road or pothole (chicago yeah!) that my top is making noise. This dull thunk type rattle was not there when I got it but has become an annoyance to me. As tops and their seals wear is this noise normal or do I take it to the dealer and see if they can hear it? Mind you I have a rattle that comes from the passenger side dash and it was in for that twice. I was told they can't hear it but on the way home I wish I had the service guy with me cause it was definitely rattling. I digress.... What is normal for a vert top as things wear?

Anyone else experiencing this? I just started getting this as well. It sounds like it is coming from the rear of driver's side, near where the convertible top folds back into the area behind the back seat. It sounds like some sort of metal piece has shaken loose so that it makes a loud rattle over rough patches, bumps, or when crossing over lane divider bumps.
