a Y87 3800 fbod is capable of high 14s/low 15s all day, a 3.4 that is stock will be a better race for a single port but those still run low 16s or so, ontop of having the better (well somewhat) 4l60 tranny they also have a 3.23 or a 3.42 (Y87) rear end, which is alot better then the 2.73 of the stangs or even the 3.27s in the new edges.
a Y87 and the new 4.0s are driver races, a single port will get its ass handed on a platter by them
as for wires, no more air in/out of the motor = no more power
+10000, i had a 95 camaro and sh*t, that thing was probably just as fast as my 00 mustang. i loved the tranny in it too, its way way better than the ford auto..
So I think we can all agree that the OP is a moron?
I'm not gonna correct all of your misconceptions, since most have been taken care of more than once, but I am gonna say that you're a prime example of why the V6 section gets so much **** from the V8 owners.

I have never heard of a non-brand name car....would that be like a Fred's Fun Wagon?

Yeah I think the OP ran a 3.4
Not necessarily, the "triangle of power" = air, fuel, spark.Thats why cars can pick up power by advancing timing, adjusting fuel/spark curves, adding mutli-spark igntion controls and so on. Cars can pick up power by tuning w/o increas in air flow. (The previos sentence is not ment for application to the OP 's car, just a general statement.) If the OP had a old set of crappy wires, and he replaced them with some larger diameter, lower resistence wires he proably did feel a dfference. Not that you can say you gained HP over the stock output, but if it was hinderd, a "tune-up is going to help
i hate to put my 2 cents in ....i have an 04 mustang and every v6 camaro from 2002 and before i have beat either by a car or truck lenghts either way ive never met a v6 firebird/trans-am or camaro that can beat me in maryland...

lol wow this is stupid. no your v6 split port or single port wont beat a v6 camaro. Back when i had my lil 6 when i first started driving i had a friend with a 98 camaro. I wouldnt even be close to beating it. sorry and yes this guy is a prime example of v6 owners that make the v6 look bad

i am sure that there are many many v6 camaros and firebirds that could kill you. even with the nitrous. and the transam is the V8 version of the firebird..no v6 transams.

Split-port V6 Mustang vs. 3800 Camaro is a driver's race, plain and simple. You act like the V6 Camaro is SOOO much faster or something. It's not... especially if it's not a Y87.
