I understand the GT500 having the inflater kit, staggered tire sizes & very wide-285 section rear tires and 14" front brakes make it difficult to package a spare saver for it. The Shelby GT has the exact sized tires/wheels front & rear(optional on the regular GT, which have a spare saver/jack/lug wrench). If I bought a Shelby GT I would demand a spare saver/jack/lug wrench. Do you Shelby GT owners think because of the car's lowered stance that that might be Ford's excuse to not include these pieces? My car is lowered(not as much up front as the Shelby GT though) and it doesn't suffer from any fouling by the jack on the frame rails(one of the things I checked after getting dropped springs).
Thats an excellent question..............
I never really thought about it. There really is no reason that a space saver that came with a standard Gt would not have worked but, now that im thinking about it, maybe its because since the GT500 did not have one then the SGT should not have one either because of the cars being in the same stable so to speak as far as Shelby's dont come with spares? I really don't know. but, i think if i ever get a flat and have to flat bed it to have the tire takin care of, i might not be to happy. I glad you brought this up because im going to get me a spare and a jack from ford across from me (I work in an auto group) and have piece of mind.
