Just saw a great bit on Jay Leno's Garage on his Shelby GT350. It has some of the best sounding scenes you'll ever hear, as he punches it going through the canyons! Plus Jay really knows his Mustangs! Check it out and ask yourself if you'd still get a modern Shelby, with the higher power, more comfort, etc
I asked myself and decided....yes! Especially since, I just don't have the money Leno has to buy a GT350...nor would it be too practical as a daily driver. But, it sure would be nice to have it along side my Shelby GT to play with.

That was a fun video to watch, he's very into it. I'm just curious, as to why his "66 is missing the side scoops, and the Quarter windows, both of which came on the '66?????

Jay needs to drive a New GT 500 modded like mine, then he can make another video!! [/quote] Jay Leno already has the new GT500. Went to Michigan and watched his car go down the assembly line and I doubt very much he paid an ADM. He also has the Ford GT and rumor has it he has the Shelby GT/SC. If its a cool car you know Jay Leno will have one. I'm sure he's waiting on the new Camaro and the new Challenger. Hopefully someday his collection will be in a museum for all of us to enjoy. They don't show alot of Jays' really special muscle cars for some reason, you manly hear about his steamers, or his custom built Buick's. The one I liked was the Riviera with the Corvette motor and suspension, the ultimate sleeper. Dave

The first 70 '66 GT350 cars had carryover parts from the '65's. The '66 cars had parts updated as the parts became available so the parts can be mixed.

I'm pretty sure it was a '66 Oldsmobile Tornado(a FWD car) with the drivetrain reconfigured to RWD and a twin turbo LS7 engine(Z06 motor) tuned to 1000hp(on race fuel). Freakin' rich guys, hate 'em and admire them at the same time.

I thought Jay said a few times that it was a 65 (first year car - they got it right)
Awesome video, btw
