another thing besides watching out for the actions of other drivers there is something i've noticed a lot more of recently and that is trash on the road, usually something that has been lost off a vehicle...driving the average 55 to 60 on a divided 2 lane highway,i and about 5 others cars at the same time came up on a huge black lawn bag full of something sitting square in the middle of the fast lane....luckily,we were spaced so as to be able to dodge it....then last week i saw a i think it was a muffler pipe laying right inside the yellow line of a two way highway just waiting to be flipped around....and this summer my nephew driving on summer vacation on a 3 lane highway had to drive right over a ladder laying straight across the highway,he had no choice driving in rush hour traffic, tennesee i think....he handled it very well, his mom said you really have to pay attention to everything    rusty

You don't have to dodge ladders in country driving, you have to dodge cows & moose.
