Nope, anything lower than 4300k is less bright, and the higher you go from 4300K, the more stray light youre gonna get, which takes light off of the target.

If you want cheaper lights go with Sylvania Silverstars. I have them and I love them. Plus they only cost $50 instead of hundreds. They are a lot brighter than the stock ones as well. I think there is a silverstar plus or something along those lines that is supposed to be brighter than the regular silverstars.

I bought the silverstar ultras for $60 from autozone and they werent that impressive at all. I actually took them back in like a week. If you put them in projectors, they would be great, but the stock mustang light housing for 99-04 just sucks.

Pretty much HID with projectors is the only way to go!!

Hmmm. I like them in my 98. The original lites looked yellow and nasty. I said they were cheaper than HID's not better than them.

Yeah, the light housing in the 98's is muuch better than the 99-04. I know you didnt say they were better, I was just saying they didnt work for me.

Plus, you can find hid conversion kits on ebay for like $70. Get one of those.

Well, hi/lo HID kits have a low beam hid and a high beam hid. They are more expensive, also. You could probably find one for $160 on ebay.

Just a regular Hid bulb is only a low beam, but believe me its brighter than highs anyway.  You could find it for $80 on ebay.
