^^ He's right. And C@19, the engine in that SHELBY is straight out of the GT, so other than being a Shelby, it's also got some VERY expensive SVT parts. Don't believe me? Try to buy a crate GT engine, IF you can even find someone who sells them. SVT isn't going anywhere. And even if they do, I guess I don't really care. I've got an '04, because I like the SN95s better, even if they are an inferior car. If I wanted something that looked like a '68, I would've bought a '68 instead. SVT has its earliest roots in the svo group of the '80s, niether of which have ANYTHING to do with Carrol Shelby. In fact, in '93 when SVT released the first SVT Cobra, Shebly tried to sue Ford. Not sure how Ford won that one though. Other SVT models have come and gone, but the Cobra has always been SVTs star vehicle. They will introduce the next SVT Cobra in late '06. as an '07 model. And I wouldn't be so quick to write off vehicles like the Lingenfelter just 'cause it's a GM. Maybe you should read more than just ONE magazine article (Motor Trend, Mar 05, page 16-17, wasn't it?) before you go and make such brash statements and getting rude with people. I'm just a noob too, but I have more sense than that. And for your info, the article said FORD saved more than $70 mil, not SHELBY. [sm=bs.gif] I'll also bet that 98LS1's 'Bird will spank your Cobra, and to finish it off, what's so special about Shelby's Cobra going 11's? Mine will do that with a K&N FIPK and drag radials...
