If they are dumping SVT by 07, why did they make a 07 cobra prototype??
they are not dumping SVT, they have actually up'd manning in SVT and are talking about 5 total cars being produced soon, think there was an article on stangnet ;)
Those were my thoughts as well. I just keep hearing people all over the SVT forums that they're dumping it. I saw the unveiling of the adrenaline, and the GT500...they didn't sound like they were about to shut down with 2 brand new vehicles.

if you can get the GT with 300 horse for 25,000 then i'd estimate the shelby at around 45,000. i can't see them hiking the price more than 20,000 for an extra 15o horse and some other doodads. you could buy a gt and build it yourself to whip the hell out of the shelby for the same price. the shelby is all about the name. if you buy one park it in your garage and in 40 years sell it for forty million dollars like the original gt 500s go for now.

ford is NOT dumping SVT. SVT is NOT gointg anywhere. Hau Tai-Ting just took over at SVT. the '07 Shelby GT500 IS being produced by SVT. caroll shelby is not even all that involved in the project. and i was right about the price they "estimate" 40-45K.

Can anyone tell me where else to get that video. Every time i play it, it runs for a few sec's then cuts out and restarts with just the sound. I tried other vid's on the edmunds.com ssite and they all did the same thing. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Well, you got some of the story right. No, Ford is not dumping SVT. Mr. Shelby and SVT are actually working togather on the new Mustang that goes on sale next year. No, not 550 horse power, but it will have over 450, which still makes it the most powerful mustang ever.

Well the Zo6 has an msrp of 62,500... throw in some dealer markup and your probably over 70k.
You have to know where to buy Corvettes. Largest dealer and biggest discounts in the USA is Kerbeck in Atlantic City. They gave $5000 off my convert when the local dealer would only go $1000.
So you don't need to count on "dealer markup" if you go to the right source.
